Dazzling Eyes, Longer Wear? Yes please.

Lets talk about lenses, people who loves lenses will never stop chasing for the right and comfortable one for them. Personally, I do not require lenses as my vision is fine. But hey, who doesn't love those colour and big eye lenses.

I've tried a few, but lets be honest. As someone who's not used to it, they can be superbly dry and feel pretty alien. And if you were em too long, they can hurt and make your eyes red. We only have 2 eyes and it does worry me that I may end up damaging my eye sight. So I heard rave reviews regarding a particular brand. Cited as "amazingly comfy and not dry" by a friend who wears lenses everyday. So when I snagged an invite to this event, I had to go!

Miacare (Mia - My in Italian) introduced their lenses in natural based which is their confident black and brown. Not only is the lens are free from UV Ray’s exposure but with their unique dot pattern design allows you unobstructed vision and what's more, their unique asymmetric edge encourages tears to flow to the surface of the eye. Okay, I'm intrigued! Tell me more.

I myself tried the lens over the weekend and it felt really amazing with 6 times more oxygen for my long hours wear and with a comfortable results! Their natural color series blends and make eyes looks naturally bigger even with only the diameter of 14.0mm. Miacare with its tri-layer printing technique that secure the printing colorants between two outer layers where color layer is completely blocked from the eyes. This means, there's no way the colour can run, no more worries.

Tried em for the Pestle and Mortar party and 7 hours later at 3am, I looked fresh and quite alive hahaha.
No redness and still comfy, I'm really loving these lenses.

Something which won brownie points for me were that Mia care is Taiwanese! I just returned from a wonderful Taiwan trip and their attention to detail in beauty astounds me.

Nowonder Taiwanese girls are so gorgeous lah. Their ambassador is Ariel Lin, a Taiwanese actress. If you look closely, she looks like Miss Mia, the girl featured on the acne patch box. I'll get to that in abit.

Oh and, Ariel Lin uses Mia care lenses on shoots, if you wonder why hey eyes sparkle, the cats out of the bag. Its Mia Care.

I'm wearing CONFiDENCE range in black.

The other item I'll rave about has got to be the acne patch. Cause I wear make up daily. And when you get a blemish, no amount of make up will help. In fact you'd probably just make it way worse and...ugh visible. Dr Kartini (below) a certified dermatologist from HUKM highly recommended the Miacare Acne Patch for such cases.

1. Its ultra-thin (0.015cm for day, 0.018cm for night) Confirm cannot see, and it helps heal your situation!
2. It absorbs 95% of harmful UV rays. (pimple already, summore got pigmentation? NO)
3. Its made from 100% medical grade hydro colloid dressing. Yep, the material to help heal scars.

Seriously, this is a godsent item for make up fanatics like myself.

Of course, you have to remember to apply it with clean, dry hands and change it once it is full. It will turn white once it's reached capacity.
Don't exceed 12 hours, and within 72 hours of use, you'll be blemish free! Voila~~

One of the models was wearing the acne patch, but betcha can't guess which one.

Mia care Acne Patch can be found at major retailers within Malaysia, such as Watson.

Day only patches go for RM10.05 (12pcs)
Night only patches go for RM10.30 (12pcs)

Cafe Hop : Feeka + Curious Goat + AMPM

Feeka, Jalan Mesui

When you end up in KL on a Saturday for work. You don't leave that quick. Cause damn jam. Yes, PJ KL routes are forever jammed. And.... when you're with a friend. You find the hipster-est thing to do. Cafe hop.

Been having wayyy too much coffee, feeling all heaty, but hey; coffee calls!

Feeka was nearby, so we popped in for abit. Also to get some Instagram material. Haha, expensive but my mom approves cause in her own words "its better than alcohol".

Feeka is situated along Jalan Mesui which is behind Changkat, next to NoBlackTie and Limablas. Prices were standard. WIth the median of RM10/coffee. But parking was madness, no time limit but RM10/entry. Which is very expensive if you're only there for less than 1 hour, even by KL standards which hang around RM6 per hour. .

Those lil tags tell you what beans are used. Feeka roast their own.But to be honest, I only know how to judge the final product. If you ask me for technicalities and the beans , process etc. *blank stares*

I believe you can buy a bag. If you like. I think, I'll just come here. *lazy* also I'll probably make lousy coffee. Didn't I tell you I don't know the technical stuff. Mhhmm
Subtle.
Feeka is quite grundey, raw. If it wasn't so minimal, I'd picture a old school kopitiam here.

My usual Flat White + Chuen's Cap.

My verdict on Feeka? Strong. So very good. For now, Feeka is my #3.

VCR is still #1 and PULP #2. But with a couple more visits, Feeka just might climb a few ranks. I'd come back.

Feeka can be found @ 19, Jalan Mesui, Kuala Lumpur.

 AMPM, USJ 21

AMPM was recommended by Chuen. Opened by one of her high school mates, its situated in USJ 21 right opposite Fish&Co, Main Place.

USJ 21 is pretty deep in, go a lil further and you'll reach the Puchong side of the LDP.

That being said, this place is mad cosy. Just a tad dark so not many photos. I urge you to head on down if you need a place to sit and crack at those long dreary assignments or weekend work bits.

As a cafe, their coffee is not the star. Odd but here's why. Down below we have their Signature Hot Chocolate. Yea, that's chocolate on a stick. You basically stick it in the cup of warm milk till it melts and ta-daaa. Hot Chocolate.

This drink to Hot Choc is the equivalent of Pepper Lunch to fried rice. You pay to make it, but its fun. So well worth the experience. Only felt it would be better if the chocolate was dark choc instead of milk choc. Milk choc is way too sweet, whilst dark choc has so many dimensions. Its sweet, bitter, tart and a bit salty. Perhaps, they will bring in this option in the future. Also, there wasn't enough milk for me, by the end of the cup the bottom was full of chocolate

* /: Mista waiter, please top up milk can ah?

Signature Hot Choc
On a different day, I had my usual Flat White. Really happy to see a swan, cause most latte art has this odd way of looking like phallic art. Some say its a heart, but yea....totally looks like a dick.

My verdict for Flat White? Poor, bitter, dilute and did not keep its warm. It oxidised pretty fast, so I got a tad taste of sour. As someone who prefers a balanced FW, this was not for me. Not at all. A bit more warm milk would have helped.

AMPM can be found @ Jalan USJ 21/5, Usj 21, 47630 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

Cafe Hop: Butter & Beans + Twelve Cups Penang

I hereby declare myself the queen of backdated post. Cause I went to Butter & Beans Seventeen when it was new. Hahaha, and now they have B&B OUG. Horeee crepp.

I think they've expanded the menu, but lazy ass me has not gotten the gusto to drive to OUG. Cause its always jam. And not the jam you can spread on toast. So I have no idea if the menu's gone past bread, tarts and drinks.

Have some photo's, they've featured Ernest Zacharevic's murals here. Interactive art piece this one.
Everything is 3D except the boy, string and bug on wall.

Ernest always has had this talent in capturing essence. Here he captures joy, intrigue, curiosity and abit of cheek. This boy looks like he's up to no good. Hmmm. Hot water on unsuspecting customers?
I kid, that would be so bad for business. Unless you're a lawyer sitting there. Then awesome lah.

I had English Breakfast Tea and a Croissant + Peach strudel. Love croissants! So loaded with butter and yes I smothered that baby in more butter! Long live butter! Olive spreads are crap. In my opinion, Tour Les Jour has one of the best croissants.

Peach Strudels are ohsum. But only cause they have peaches and I love peaches. Honest opinion, skip strudel get another croissant.

But it would be better if they had the option to reheat items. I don't like cold croissants. Usually air fry the one's I bring home.

Twelve Cups, Penang

And this post, amazing lah Amelia, sebab I went down in May 2013...... *clap for self*
Twelve Cups only serves mille crepes and drinks. I was melting in the sweltering heat of Penang so all I drank was water. LOTS of ICE. Plstqvmkkthxbai

Anyways, can anyone teach me how to apply threaded comment? I don't know how to apply it so that I can reply peoples comments. Cause when I reply now, it's like I'm a guest to the blog, not the author. I feel like a jerk not replying people who've bothered to leave me kind comments. *jerk mode*

Anyways, the mille crepe was not as cold as I'd like. So it was not as firm. But taste wise its decent. As always I had original. I like trying new things, but I don't quite fancy cheese crepes. Lest they are hot.
